How I Stay Fashionable and Shop on a Budget

Okayyy, soo... I'm kind of obsessed with shopping, but also kind of obsessed with finding good deals. Saving any kind of money is one of my favorite pastimes. In this post, I want to show you all how I find some of the cutest bargains, at a good price.

First, review what you have in your closet. Do you tend to hold onto things and keep things that you never really wear or are afraid that you will? Take some time to face your closet, and see the big picture.

Also... Try to sell your clothes. Once every few months I raid my closet and look for things I no longer need anymore, or things I know I'll never wear. I'll sell these items on Poshmark or take them to Plato's Closet to make money to buy new clothes... (Like the ones I always see on LtKiT)

I mainly buy most of my clothing off season. For some reason when it's summer/fall, I like to buy winter clothes, and when it's Winter/Spring, I love shopping online for cute summer clothes I can see myself wearing on fun getaways. You can always find the cutest items from previous seasons on clearance racks!

Speaking of clearance racks, I LOVE ME A GOOD SALE. If something cute is on sale, I basically buy it. Especially a timeless piece like jeans. I barely spent over $50 on a pair of jeans, because I would rather focus on the top piece of my outfits. I mainly get all my jeans from Hollister of Abercrombie when they have their jeans for $25-$39, because that is just such a good deal! I also shop American Eagle jeans if for some lucky reason I get a coupon in the mail, or they have my size in stock on clearance. They just fit so well!

Next, Free People is one of my favorite brands. How is Free People always something I can afford, you ask? Well... Nordstrom Rack sells Free People items that are in stores RIGHT now for less than half the price!! Yes! I repeat half the price!!! I am constantly checking their website for the newest items to him. for a $108 top, you can get it for around $69! Huge savings right there.

I also set a spending goal I can spend on clothes per month. Is it $100 a month, $50 or $500? Get that much cash from the bank and keep it on you.Want more money for clothes and accessories? Consider if you need all the cable channels you buy or eating out less in favor of something cheap and quick at home.

Clothes, looking good, and feeling good are some of the most important things to me. It is important to me to splurge on myself, but without breaking the budget, and this is some of the ways in which I do that. So go find yourself some great bargains this weekend, and happy shopping!
