10 Fun Fall Activities To Do This October

Hey y'all! Fall is by far my favorite season. So many fun date ideas or activities to do with friends and family, pumpkins, colors, gorgeous scenery, and of course the fashion! October is the best month for everything listed, and since it is always so short, take advantage of these fun activities while you still can!

1) VISIT A PUMPKIN PATCH!

Can't talk about fall without mentioning pumpkins! White pumpkins, and green pumpkins are my favorite. Skip going to the grocery store and picking out pumpkins. Head to your local farmers stand or pumpkin patch and get to select through hundreds! And most of the time lost of them are cool shapes and colors and not just your average orange pumpkin. OR, find a patch where you can do other things like grab a bite to eat, and head on a hay ride!

2) VISIT A HAUNTED ATTRACTION

Spooky houses or hayrides are always more fun with a partner. I hated that stuff growing up or when I was a kid. But now that I've gotten older I really want to head to one and snuggle up on a haunted hayride and feel warm! If you don't have a S.O. then thats okay too! Go get scared with your closest friends or family. You'll have a blast!

3) CARVE SOME PUMPKINS

This goes along well with the pumpkin patch idea. After you're done at the pumpkin patch, schedule some time in the weekend or after work or school one night, and bond over a creative activity that will also add some festive flair to your home!

4) HOST A HALLOWEEN PARTY

This was something I really looked forward to doing with Nick this year. Now that we have our own place that is larger, it's easier for us to have more than one guest over at a time. Decorate your house with spider webs, and pumpkins, and you have yourself a festive looking home! Tell all your friends to wear a fun costume, grab some fun light up necklaces or glow sticks, make fun alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages and you're set to go! Don't forget the fun Halloween music and food though :) Here are two fun alcohol drink recipes: 1 | 2

5) GET LOST IN A CORN MAZE

You can make this a fun time day adventure, or if you're up to something a little spookier, consider finding a haunted corn maze at night! This is one of my favorite fall activities because it's challenging and allows you to work with your partner.

6) A CIDER AND WINE TASTING

This is something I did a few weeks ago with my mother and it was fun! Nothing like the taste of cider and exploring gorgeous vineyards around this time of year. And have a little fun while doing it! ;)

7) GO TO A FALL FESTIVAL

These are always fun because they are dedicated to street food, art, wine and craft beers. There are always fun events going on at them too! The one near my house is in a town with a lot of boutiques and shops and I'm always discovering a new place when I'm there. These are everywhere at this time of year.

8) SIT OUT BY A FIRE

Grab your coziest blanket and sweater and sit by the warmth of a fire roasting marshmallows and listening to the sound of the crickets. Something about the smell of a fire and the taste of s'more this time of year is more satisfying to me than in the summer.

9) BAKE A FALL DESSERT

I love a treat just as much as anyone else does! Why not smell up the house with warm scented goodies? Make one of these yummy homemade treats!

10) TAKE A SCENIC HIKE

Since the gorgeous fall colors don't last too long, get out there before everything is all the trees and brown on the ground! Go a local walking trail, or walk around your neighborhood and admire the fall foliage. If you're from a place that doesn't exactly get to experience, this plan a small weekend trip up North! It's absolutely stunning up here.

Those are my top 10 favorite fall activities to do every year! Maybe you can use some of these ideas to your best advantage, or even come up with your own fall traditions!
