Why I love Lancaster, PA So Much

Happy Friday everyone! This week feels like it has been the longest week of my life after daylight saving time happened last weekend. But it's the end of the week now, and I have the cutest custom made town t-shirt I ever did see to share with y'all! (Especially locals)

Twelvetwentyninesupplyco sent me the cutest graphic tee on how to ACTUALLY pronounce the city Lancaster. LANG-KISS-STER. NOT LANG-CAS-TER.

Haha! Love you Lancaster. No hard feelings. But today I'm going to be sharing why I love this amazing city so much.

I've spent my entire life living in the Reading area of PA. It wasn't until I met my boyfriend from Erie who moved all the way here to Akron. When I first moved in with him, I really missed the Reading area so much. It was all I knew, and I knew every road and street.

1) Lancaster is home to the oldest continuously operating Farmer's Market in the country. You'll find everything from freshly made pastas, to local vegetables, cheese, and meats, and lots of Amish favorites like, shoofly pie and whoppie pies of all flavors and sizes.

2) The arts are thriving here. Lancaster has a historic gallery row located on the first and second blocks of North Prince Street. On the first Friday of each month head to the city to discover innovative exhibitions, performances and mingle with locals while enjoying the arts scene. There are so many arts fests Lancaster has all year round including the Fire and Ice Sculpture Festival.

3) We have the cutest cafes!!! There are lots of cute cafes in Lancaster. If you're looking for a busy spot to grab coffee, or get work done, there's bound to one right around you!

4) There's a huge craft beer scene! A few of the breweries include Iron Hill Brewing, Rumspringa Brewing Company, Appalachian Brewing Company of Lititz, St Boniface Brewing Company and Lancaster Brewing Company, to name a few which are all super close to my house!

5) The shopping and entertainment scene is awesome! You name where you wanna go shopping, or out to eat, and Lancaster has it. I used to think the Reading area had everything, but once I came out here there is just so much more! The only downfall is that things are farther away. But hey, I have Park City mall near me, and that's 1000x better than Berkshire mall. There's also so many bars and clubs to go to in downtown Lancaster, there's always an entertainment scene!

I never thought Lancaster would become my home, but I am so happy it did, and content living here.
